-I have tutored many of my neighbors sons and daughters in various subjects, but mainly focused on the humanities (reading, writing, and social studies). All those students went on to do quite well in the subjects I assisted them in. 1730 SAT -I want to be a tutor because I feel that I have more to offer in the way of education than I am currently able to perform as a substitute teacher. I genuinely believe that in order for a proper education to be received, one has to put in the time and effort to perfect study skills that will allow them to genuinely achieve that goal, and I make sure that students remain true to that goal as much as possible in and out of the classroom. -I have taken various courses in the subject of history, but to list a few: US History I & II, American Studies, The Decade of the 1950's, World War II: A Global Perspective, Japan: Empire to Modern Society, Cold War: A Comparative View (Class focused on a webcam based chat with Russian university) -Member of Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society)
